Network kit vendor U.S. Robotics has boosted its partner and customer support offering in the Middle East with the appointment of Hishamul Hasheel as technical sales manager. U.S Robotics new recruit was revealed to channel partners at the vendor’s recent Maximum Wireless channel road show, which called in at Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Hasheel’s remit includes the development of a strong value-added reseller (VAR) and partner network across the region, especially in the SMB segment. He will also be responsible for turnkey U.S. Robotics projects, with a particular focus on the broadband and wireless segments. “Technical support from the vendor is a very important value-add, both for the partner and customer, in the Middle Eastern IT markets,” said Hasheel. “The Networking markets in the region are crowded with a large number of vendors. Value-addition in terms of on-ground pre and post-sales technical support is not readily available.” “2005 will see the entry of many new networking solutions, especially in the wireless segment, into the regional markets. Leading the line-up will be the revolutionary new MAXg solutions from U.S. Robotics. Timely technical support will not only future-proof customer networks, but also safeguard customer investment through products that have been tested for performance claims,” added Hasheel. Hasheel’s CV boasts more than six years experience in pre-sales, sales and marketing of enterprise wide IT projects as well as a proven track record in the Middle East markets.
