Computer Associates (CA) has officially opened its regional call centre in Beirut, offering round-the-clock trilingual technical support to partners and customers throughout the region. Established to serve the Gulf, Levant and North African countries, the centre offers support services in three languages: Arabic, French and English. The move marks the next step in CA’s strategy of investment across the Arab world as it aims to increase end-user awareness, develop its channel-to-market and open a newtork of in-country offices. “CA’s regional support centre is an essential part of our strategy that revolves around building trust in the CA brand across the communities we work with,” explained Gilbert Lacroix, VP and general manager for CA in the Arab countries. CA currently operates ten support centres across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Dave Winpenny, VP EMEA customer support for CA, said: “CA’s customer support centre is set up to help CA customers get the most out of their investment in CA solutions. Along with bringing a wealth of CA resources to our customers and partners in the region, it allows us to coordinate high-level technical support across the Arab markets via an advanced IT infrastructure, best practices and a trained and qualified staff.” “The support centre will also allow us to gain a better understanding of our customers' business needs and provide them with a convenient and accessible interface with CA. At CA, we know it all comes down to delivering value to our customers and we are committed to earning their respect as a valued partner,” he added. CA located its regional support centre in Beirut due to the availability of multilingual graduate talent, reasonable operating costs and advanced communications infrastructure according to Lacroix. Partners and customers in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Jordan will be able to contact the support centre using toll free telephone numbers.
