Digital media solutions vendor Pinnacle Systems plans to ramp up its OEM channel even further with the appointment of Adrien Bergeaud as head of OEM sales for southern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Bergeaud’s mission is to boost sales of the vendor’s software and hardware offerings — including the Pinnacle and Dazzle OEM product lines — to manufacturers and integrators of PCs, multimedia peripherals, camcorders and digital cameras. With a solid background in retail distribution, Bergeaud joined Pinnacle Systems France in 2002 as head of its vendor network and helped set up a 1,000-strong network of partners in the video editing and TV-on-PC sectors. As well as its OEM channel, Pinnacle Systems also has an established distribution network for its products. In the Middle East, partners include Imantech, Irma Trading and Pro Vision in the UAE, Teledata in Lebanon, PC Zone and Time Technology for Computer in Jordan, Mishal Al Sudairy and Al Jassim in Saudi Arabia, Better Business in Egypt as well as Master Co and The Creator Co in Syria. NASDAQ-quoted Pinnacle posted global sales of US$86.1m in the fourth quarter of 2004 — up 7.2% year-on-year.
