Apple’s relentless drive to recruit the world to their wheel-clicking iPod army gains pace with the release of these two new models. The Shuffle targets a different type of ‘pod user from its big brothers; light as a pack of gum, it’s a wearable music player which hangs round your sinewy neck or straps to your muscular arm, before supplying a soundtrack to your running session or gym workout. Not sure what songs to include on the miniature marvel? The clever Autofill function randomly selects tracks from your library to fill the Shuffle to capacity. These can then be listened to at random or in order. With even the smaller model holding a respectable 120 songs, it looks like those familiar white earphones will be cropping up more than ever before.
