Almasa Network Solutions has fleshed out its solution portfolio by signing up network security vendor Sygate. Almasa will distribute Sygate’s range of endpoint security solutions across the Middle East and North Africa region. “We are delighted that Almasa has chosen Sygate’s Secure Enterprise and On-Demand solutions to add value to its comprehensive security offerings,” said Ian Schenkel, managing director of Sygate Technologies EMEA. “Almasa’s established presence in the Middle East security and networking marketplace makes it the ideal partner for us to work with in the region.” Sygate’s solutions ensure that users who wish to access the network remotely via their laptops and other mobile devices can do so securely and without fear of network intrusion. Sygate boasts a number of high-profile clients, including HP, and Almasa believes that the Middle East market is also ripe for its solutions. “The market for end point security is expected to grow significantly in the region as viruses, identity theft and phishing attacks increase at a phenomenal rate. Each endpoint device that fails to comply with security policies for patches and virus protection potentially provides intruders with an open point of vulnerability. Sygate allows customers to address this comprehensively with a centrally managed enterprise solution,” said D K Jaytirtha, business manager, Information Assurance Group at Almasa Network Solutions. According to D K Roy, divisional manager at Almasa Network Solutions, the region’s systems integrators and also telecoms companies have already been flocking to his door and showing interest in Sygate. Almasa intends to distribute through a select band of partners. “We will ensure delivery of these solutions to customers through our network of competent system integrator partners across the region, supported by us to deliver a quality service to the enterprise customer in the Middle East,” said Roy. The agreement also covers training and technical support of Sygate Secure Enterprise and Sygate On-Demand solutions.
