UAE-based power retailer Jumbo is going for gold at this year’s Dubai Shopping Festival. The IT and electronics specialist is running raffles for its customers with a glittering array of prizes on offer including a kilo of gold every week, grand prix tickets, mobile phones and desert safari tours. “With DSF poised to become the biggest shopping extravaganza ever, Jumbo plans to offer its biggest promotion yet. Not only have we partnered with vendors to offer new products, attractive savings and amazing bundle offers, but we will also furnish shoppers with a chance to walk away with a kilo of gold,” said Kiran Chhabria, marketing and communications director at Jumbo. Jumbo’s promotion campaign, entitled ‘Everyone wins at Jumbo’, ensures that no one leaves a Jumbo store empty handed, according to Chhabria. For every purchase of Dhs250 made during DSF, shoppers will receive both a raffle ticket and a scratch and win card. Every week, one lucky raffle winner will pick up a kilo of gold with two shoppers receiving this prize in the concluding week of the festival. Daily raffles will also offer customers the chance to win products from major vendors such as Sony and Nokia. Jumbo will also launch several new Sony products, including the Japanese giant’s latest LCD projection television, home theatre systems and other electronics goods. The retailer is also promising special DSF prices across its extensive range of IT products including laptops, desktops, peripherals, printers and accessories. Jumbo’s UAE retail network includes 23 showrooms and 10 service centres. During DSF, the retailer will also have a presence at the Global Village, allowing consumers to shop at the festival’s centerpiece.
