A new Honda showroom will open at Festival City by 2006. The 5250-square-metre facility will feature an internet café in addition to a full range of Honda vehicles including cars, SUVs, motorcycles and marine machines. The Honda showroom is part of the project’s automotive retail park. The automotive zone will be part of a landscaped retail park to be built close to Al Rebat Road and accessible with ample car parking for customers. “The Honda showroom is yet another first-class car retail facility at Dubai Festival City that will help transform Dubai Festival City Al Rabat Road into the automotive centre of Dubai,” said Omar Al Futtaim, whose company is developing Festival City. “Honda is a welcome Dubai Festival City tenant. Honda’s brand ethos of turning today’s dreams into reality is closely aligned with that of Dubai Festival City –– which is to deliver aspirational lifestyles and totally revitalise the retail experience,” said Al Futtaim. Dubai Festival City is being developed on 1600 acres on the banks of Dubai Creek. Comprising 15 development zones, Dubai Festival City is one of the Middle East’s largest, privately-funded, mixed-use, real estate project. It will contain entertainment, dining, shopping, edutainment, sport and leisure facilities, automotive dealerships, hotels, a marina, residential and office components.
