Dnata pairs with Instone

Dnata Agencies has teamed up with Instone International to form a dedicated marine travel division.

Dnata Agencies, the travel service arm of the Emirates Group, has teamed up with Instone International to form a dedicated marine travel division that will cater to the offshore and marine industries. The franchise agreement with Instone International, which is one of the world’s largest specialist providers in marine travel, will see Dnata form a new division that will provide a broad range of marine travel services. These will include both “off-the-rack” and tailor-made solutions, including visa services, integrated air-to-sea travel management, marine and offshore crew transfers, ship chandler and other specialised services for the marine and offshore industry. “Dnata is proud to set up a new dedicated marine travel division together with Instone International, an established global partner,” said Gary Chapman, president, Dnata and Associated Companies. “The UAE marine travel business is estimated to be worth some Dhs 40 million (US $10 million) per annum. The UAE’s position as a re-export base, its oil and offshore industries and strategic geographic location all combine to give it the edge as a maritime centre.” “With upcoming projects like the Dubai Maritime City, there is no doubt about the potential of the marine travel market in the region. Our venture with Instone is a timely one, and we are optimistic that the new division will cater to growing market demands for marine travel,” he added.
