Networking vendor D-Link is repeating its ‘D-Link Dollar’ promotional campaign this year targeting both resellers and retailers. Running from the last week of November until the end of 2004, a feast of prizes including two cars are up for grabs if channel partners make the grade. “We give high priority to the success of our channel-partners at every level. In addition to various loyalty benefits we offer throughout the year, the channel is always eager for exciting new promotions to boost sales. We believe it is important for channel-partners to view D-Link as a considerate and innovative vendor,” said Wilson Xavier, business manager at D-Link Middle East. “Far reaching, high-recall reward programs like this one help build channel motivation along with providing tremendous value in a market place where margins can sometimes be seen as the only value aspect of a product or brand. D-Link is playing an active part in changing that perception by building a value-vendor concept in the Middle East,” he added. After the success of a similar promotion in 2003, D-Link has enhanced its efforts this year to simplify the administration involved, open the promotion up to an even greater number of channel partners and increase the value of prizes on offer. The two cars on offer are a Hyundai Jetz and a Mitsubishi Lancer with other prizes including home theatres, plasma screen TVs, mobile phones and cameras. A fixed number of D-Link dollars have been pre-assigned to the top 20 selling D-Link products in the region. Resellers and retailers accumulate D-Link dollars by selling the products and can redeem the currency for prizes at the end of the promotion period. D-Link dollars can also be redeemed for cash.
