Alcatel expands regional presence

Alcatel, a leading communications provider for carriers, has opened an IP Telephony centre of competence in Dubai to serve the local enterprise market.

Alcatel opened of a new centre of competence for IP telephony and enterprise communications in Dubai. The centre is dedicated to serving the local enterprise market, and enables Alcatel to work more closely with its customers to deploy the company’s industry-leading IP communications solutions combined with the latest in advanced communications applications for unified communications and contact centres. It will also enable Alcatel to achieve closer proximity to its local integrators and distributors and will specifically focus on providing expertise and complete solutions in next generation enterprise communication technologies. “Alcatel is committed to delivering its innovative enterprise solutions in this critical global market,” says Anil Srivastava, executive vice president for Alcatel’s Enterprise Solutions activities in the European, Middle Eastern and African markets. “With the opening of our new IP telephony competency center in Dubai, we are greatly strengthening our position here and looking forward to working very closely with our customers, distributors and integrators in this market.”
