Intel has been putting the finishing touches to plans for its latest round of channel conferences. Calling in at 18 cities across the Middle East and Africa between November 22nd and December 14th 2004, Intel expects to attract 2,500 individuals representing some 1,100 channel partners. Targeting Intel resellers and local assemblers, the processor giant will use the events to bring its channel up to speed on the latest technologies for desktop, mobile and server platforms, update them on its product roadmap and highlight new market segments and growth opportunities. “Knowledge and quality are the two key elements of success for systems integrators today,” said Maan Ahmadie, channel manager for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa at Intel. “It is for this reason that our channel conference will focus on roadmap updates, product knowledge and training; this is the best way in which we can bring value to our channel members and help them be at the forefront of technology to develop their business in this fast moving market.” The latest round of Intel Channel Conferences (ICCs) will be themed ‘Evolve, Solve, Succeed – the path to business success’ with special emphasis on business development opportunities for the channel. This will include advice on how to escape the price pressure that characterises the PC market, the potential of mobility solutions to drive profits and opportunities in the server space. The Autumn 2004 ICC events are scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi, Algiers, Amman, Beirut, Cairo, Casablanca, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Khobar, Kuwait, Manama, Menya (Egypt), Muscat, Riyadh, Sana’a and Tunis.
