Upswing in environmental projects

Big 5 tradeshow organisers say there's a surge in environmental-related projects.

More than US$46 billion is expected to be put into regional environment-related projects over the next 10 years, according to the organiser of he upcoming Big 5 tradeshow. The projects will mainly focus on water treatment and sewage plants. Dubai’s non-oil trade has recently seen an increase of more than 23% in value, with a considerable amount of this apportioned to the construction industry. Projects around the region are picking up, with local market activity estimated to be in excess of US$4 billion a year.
