As part of a major deal with Panasonic Marketing Middle East to supply non-linear editing (NLE) solutions, Pinnacle Systems will deliver multiple Pinnacle Liquid blue networked editing systems to DVCPRO users across the region. The US $750,000 deal is a move by the two companies to spearhead industry collaboration and encourage more users to streamline their workflow. The deal comes at a time when Pinnacle has announced support for Panasonic’s P2 solid-state media and Sony’s XDCam media. “Panasonic’s deal with Pinnacle Systems builds on our own strengths and empowers us to deliver comprehensive turn-key solutions to our demanding markets,” comments Manabu Fukuzawa, broadcast sales manager for Panasonic Marketing Middle East. “Pinnacle Liquid Blue is the most advanced editing solution available and this deal strengths our partnership with Pinnacle while also strengthening our position in the Middle East market.”
