Logicom revs up Gitex promotions

Distribution company Logicom has teamed up with partner Cisco Systems to offer Gitex visitors the chance to win a Harley Davidson motorbike.

Distribution company Logicom has teamed up with partner Cisco Systems to offer Gitex visitors the chance to win a Harley Davidson motorbike. "Every customer that places an order of $1,000 with us between now and October 24th will get one entry into our big draw," explains Omiros Pissarides, general manager, Logicom Dubai. "On October 30th we will select the winner of a 1200cc Harley Davidson Sportster motorbike." Logicom is an authorised distributor for some of the most prestigious brands in the IT industry including Intel, Microsoft and Cisco. It currently does the lion's share of its business in the Middle East. It's for this reason Pissarides says "it is therefore natural that we would be appearing at the most important exhibition in the region." The Middle East, claims Pissarides, is "a very important region with healthy growth rates and a lot of potential. Gitex is a unique opportunity for us to meet our customer base face-to-face, explain our competitive edge and inform them of upcoming events. It is also an opportunity to promote the idea of sourcing from the legal channel and the advantages this offers." Visitors to Logicom's stand can expect to check out the very latest technology from the firm's suppliers. "We are showcasing wireless technology from Intel, IP telephony and wireless technology from Cisco Systems, the latest storage products from Seagate & Certance, the latest Kingston Memory, as well as the latest state-of-the-art Philips monitors and plasma displays," says Pissarides.
