Visitors to the pavilion are reflecting for thought in front of MediaVision’s stand, as they look at the company’s latest product: the mirror screen. The device is a projector screen, which is also a mirror. As such, when no image is projected onto it, people can see themselves; however, once the projector behind is switched on then they can see a perfectly clear image on the screen. “It is a mirror one moment, and then a moment later you can see a TV presentation,” explains Klaus Kiesewetter, general manager, MediaVision. The device is aimed for use in a number of environments, such as trade presentations, hotels or home entertainment set-ups. Users could have one installed in their room for instance, and then use it as a mirror or as a TV screen. “This is a much more convenient and tidier option for people interested in home design,” comments Kiesewetter. The company, which is making its Gitex debut, is at the show to look for a main distributor for the region. “We are confident of finding one after this week,” says Kiesewetter.
