Taide Network is promoting its latest range in internet and VoIP technologies at Gitex this year. The Norwegian network specialist recently launched its Taide WorldConnect IV standalone zero maintenance unit, and is now showcasing it to the Middle East region. “It is important for us to enter into the Middle East as it continues to open up. The Middle East market is where we expect the most rapid growth,” says Tom Løwehr, sales director of Taide. At present, Africa is Taide’s largest market, but according to Løwehr the company is now hoping to target the Middle East through partner companies. The new WorldConnect IV provides access to Taide Broadband service via regular 10/100 BaseT Ethernet interface at sustained data rates of up to 52Mbps. The unit can also be equipped with an internal modulator, which provides a maximum transmission rate of 2048 Kbytes/s. In addition, the customer can access collected statistics via the Taide Customer Web Statistics page. The Receiver can be accessed for administration by the customer via Telnet or SSH protocol if necessary.
