Security software vendor MicroWorld already has 12,000 partners and resellers around the globe. The company is appearing at Gitex as part of its ambitious plans to build its footprint in the Middle East markets. MicroWorld publishes real time anti-virus and content security products eScan and MailScan. These security solutions run on many hardware platforms including desktops, mail servers, proxy servers and Citrix servers. eScan is enterprise-wide anti-virus software that scans the local and network drives for viruses and cleans them on a real time basis using MicroWorld WinSock Layer (MWL) technology. MailScan, which also uses MWL technology, is content security software for corporate mail servers capable of scanning e-mails, attachment files and web pages. MicroWorld claims that MWL offers a revolutionary concept in scanning internet traffic on a real time basis by analysing potential threats before they reach users systemsCyberGuard has been operating in the Middle East since the late 1990s and believes that the region offers tremendous growth potential. The company’s product portfolio includes scalable high performance firewall-VPN appliances, the Webwasher suite of enterprise-class web and e-mail content security solutions. Using a channel of value-added distributors (VADs) and value-added resellers (VARs), CyberGuard has already picked up market share in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt in various verticals including telecoms, banking, government, and oil and gas.
