Hitachi Home & Life Solutions is showing at Gitex for the first time this year. The firm is demonstrating its entire range of IT products, as well as keeping an eye out for possible new channel partners and distributors. "This is the first time that Hitachi Home & Life Solutions has attended Gitex," confirms marketing executive Rohit Lohia. "Our main reason for exhibiting is to showcase our range of products to consumers. Also, as we don't currently have dedicated exclusive distributors in every country across the region, we are here with the aim of attracting new channel partners and distributors." Visitors to Hitachi's stand can see the firm's full line-up of products and exhaustive demonstrations covering everything from LCD TVs to hard disks. "At the show we are promoting our entire ranges of plasma, projection and LCD TVs, DVD camcorders (which support both DVD-R and DVD-RAM standards), plasma monitors, LCD projectors and storage devices, such as flash memory cards, drives and hard disks," says Lohia. "Visitors to our stand are being treated to many live demonstrations, making our stand feel like more of a product showroom than a show booth." Hitachi is launching several products this week, including new DVD recorders, an LCD based home cinema projector (LCD) and different types of storage devices. "Perhaps the most promising market available today is the Middle East,” says Lohia. “Its scope and opportunities are immense and ready to be tapped, and the infrastructure here is fast catching up with the most advanced regions."
