Canon Middle East has launched a new range of printers in the form of its Pixma inkjet series. According to Canon, the “shining star” of its new line-up is the firm’s IP5000, a 9,600dpi model with a quoted print speed of 25ppm. Canon’s Pixma printers have been designed with cost-effectiveness firmly in mind. They use single ink cartridges, feature a warning message that is displayed before the ink in a cartridge runs out, and the cartridges themselves are transparent so that users can check ink levels themselves. Canon’s Pixma printers all feature PictBridge technology, which allows any PictBridge enabled camera to be plugged in directly for easy PC-less photo printing. Duplex printing technology is also offered. “We are very proud of our latest innovation in the world of printing,” said Gordon Jones, president, Canon Middle East. “Pixma printers have exceeded all expectations in every possible way, the quality, speed and features within this range are all unsurpassed qualities, which you can not find in any other printer.” Canon’s new Pixma range should become available across the region over coming weeks.
