HP gathered more than 60 resellers ‘who had interests’ in the Iraqi market for a two-day workshop held recently in Amman, Jordan. The event focused on building awareness of the HP brand and educating resellers on the vendor’s product portfolio. “Iraq continues to be a key market for us in the region, and we are pleased to have selected prime channel partners who possess local market knowledge and have taken on the task of introducing the HP portfolio into the Iraqi marketplace,” said Hazem Bazan, director solutions partner organisation (SPO) for HP Middle East. “But it is essential, that in Iraq, as in the rest of the world, these partnerships are backed by adequate training and education.” Various HP product groups were represented at the event including personal systems group (PSG), imaging and printing group (IPG), ProCurve networking, industry standard servers, network and service solutions, and business critical solutions. HP appointed Almasa and Emitac as its distribution partners for Iraq earlier this year.
