Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) has opened a new service centre in the Al Jubail area of Sharjah. The new centre is a part of its ongoing plan to bring Etisalat’s services and products closer to the customer. “The building of such service and business development centres comes as a part of our commitment to delivering quality service to our subscribers. With such a wide and varied customer base, we have found that it makes most sense for us to take our business closer to the customer, as opposed to requiring them to visit the main Etisalat office for regular needs. We find this proactive approach is more in line with our image as a high-technology company in this information age,” says Ali Al Sharid, general manager, West Coast region, Etisalat. The company has been developing service and business development centres all across the country, primarily to ease the burden on the customer of visiting the main Etisalat office for his everyday needs. Etisalat customers will now be able to find a service centre that is easily accessible by them. “The new service centre in Al Jubail area reflects the architectural philosophy of Etisalat, and will surely be easily recognisable to all. The philosophy of having easily recognisable building is followed uniformly all over the country, and has certainly now come to be landmarks in their own right. These service and business development centres are also constructed to accommodate large open spaces and huge halls for the comfort of the customers while they transact their business”, he adds. The Al Jubail Service Centre includes counters for one-on-one transactions, public cash payment machines, sales administrators, complete sales and business development department, GSM section, e-Solutions, the operations and maintenance division, as well as the management offices. Customers can get most of the services at this centre, negating the need to visit the main branch of Etisalat for routine tasks. Bill payment, all types of enquiries, requests for new services like landlines, mobile phones, fax connections, internet connections as well as fault reporting will be done at the service and business development centres itself. “As an extension of the dedicated infrastructure development and investment efforts that Etisalat puts into the country, the will to go closer towards the customer is in keeping with the best and most modern international practices. This is visual proof of us working towards improving and reaching higher standards in the field of customer service.”
