Compuware boosts market reach

NASDAQ-quoted application management software vendor Compuware has enhanced its channel reach in the Middle East with the appointment of new partners in Oman and Qatar.

NASDAQ-quoted application management software vendor Compuware has enhanced its channel reach in the Middle East with the appointment of Mohsin Haider Darwish LLC (MHD) in Oman and iHorizons in Qatar. Both companies will distribute Compuware solutions to enterprise customers. “These new agreements will strengthen our presence in the Middle East,” said Richard Harris, vice president Middle East and Africa at Compuware. “We already have successful existing relationships in this region — with Al -Falak in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait and Everest Computer Solutions in the UAE, but these new signings will take our products and application life-cycle messages even further and we are confident that they will enable us get a foothold in the growing markets of Oman and Qatar.” Compuware and its partners plan to initially focus on helping customers enhance their application performance and educating them on how to optimize their mainframe and client-server environments using products such as Compuware Strobe and Vantage. “With such high growth predicted for the IT market in the Middle East, this agreement with Compuware has come at an ideal time. The combination of their technology and our local knowledge puts us in a great position750-strong MHD. “With, in our opinion, the most comprehensive portfolio of application life-cycle software and services in the market, Compuware is ideally placed to help our customers manage costs, mitigate risk and optimise existing and future IT investments.” “With their heritage in web environments and such strong client server technology, Compuware is an ideal partner for us,” said Mohammed Takriti, CEO at iHorizons. “This agreement will really help us to increase the breadth of solutions we offer to customers and help them to succeed even more.” iHorizons provides a range of internet software and e-business solutions to clients including Al Jazeera and Qatar’s Foreign Information Agency. The company already works with a number of major vendors including Microsoft, Oracle and SAP.
