PeopleSoft Middle East will be highlighting the strength of its expanded channel partner network at Gitex 2004, in addition to introducing show attendees to the fully Arabised version of its PeopleSoft Enterprise One application. Over the past 12 months, PeopleSoft has expanded the number of local, industry-aligned channel partners it works with in the Middle East to cover key verticals such as construction, real estate, wholesale distribution, government, telecoms and financial institutions. Not only will the vendor be name checking each of these partners at the show, but it will also be explaining how they give PeopleSoft a competitive advantage in the local market. “Gitex provides us with an ideal showcase to demonstrate the business advantages that our industry-leading software and local presence offers to organisations across the Middle East,” says Jeffrey Read, managing director & vice president, EMEA sales distribution group, PeopleSoft. “A growing community of successful businesses in the Middle East recognises the advantages that PeopleSoft’s cost effective, flexible, and easy-to-use solutions deliver. We’re confident that the shared strength of PeopleSoft and our expanded channel partner network on display at this year’s Gitex will encourage more companies to join that community,” he adds. PeopleSoft will also use its presence at Gitex to announce some of the enhancements and service improvements that have been realised through PeopleSoft’s Middle East User Group, an independently managed forum for customers in the region that was formed in June 2004. Since its formation, the group has made a significant contribution to the development of the vendor’s product and channel strategy in the region. “By integrating the industry-specific information provided by the User Group into our strategy for the region, PeopleSoft is able to stay ahead of the trend,” says Read.
