Four Seasons has finalised the pre-opening team for its forthcoming hotel in Doha. Assisting Simon Casson, the property's general manager, is a team that offers a combination of local and international experience. Ashraf El Zahed joins as director of marketing. He moves down to the Gulf from Jordan, where he was head of marketing at the Four Seasons Hotel Amman. Another man with regional experience is director of engineering Bernard Khoury, who has done stints in Four Seasons properties in Amman and Riyadh. The hotel’s human resources director will be Samar Eraky, who has been involved with Four Seasons hotels in Cairo, Sharm El Sheikh, Amman and Riyadh. Ashraf Tadros has been appointed director of finance. He started his Four Seasons career in Boston in 1996, before moving to Saudi Arabia. To complement all this local knowledge, the hotel is also bringing in people with international experience. Livio Faverio arrives in Doha from Four Seasons Hotel Canary Wharf London to take up the post of hotel manager. Andrew Dartnell, director of food and beverage operations, spent 10 years with the Hyatt in Sydney, Melbourne and Hong Kong before joining InterContinental as food and beverage director in Singapore and Hong Kong. Completing the international lineup is Charlie Parker, director of rooms. His 10 year stint with Four Seasons has taken him to The Maldives, Las Vegas and London. “We’re lucky to have a team of such seasoned professionals on board,” says Casson. “Collectively they have a unique blend of regional and opening experience as well as tremendous enthusiasm.”
