Summer holidays with 3Com

3Com is rewarding performing channel partners with trips abroad as part of a range of promotions for the summer season.

Networking vendor 3Com has launched not one but two promotion schemes for both distributor and reseller partners to boost summer sales of its range of networking products across the Middle East region. “These are the people who are driving our business, both the distributors and the resellers. We are very happy with our partners — they are one of 3Com’s key strengths — and we think it is about time that we reward them for what they have been doing,” said Claire Jones, regional distribution manager at 3Com. 3Com will reward one of its resellers with an expenses-paid trip to Paris as part of its summer “Points for Prizes” incentive scheme, which will run until September. Resellers will also have the chance to win a range of cutting-edge prizes, such as camcorders, mobile phones, home theatre systems and DVD players. Under the rules of the promotion, resellers earn one 3Com point for every US$2,500 purchase of 3Com equipment from an authorized Middle East distributor. The more points resellers accumulate, the more prizes they are eligible to win. Further up the channel ladder 3Com has set each distributor partner a target to achieve for the month of August. If the product manager reaches the amount set by 3Com, they will be awarded with a four-day expenses-paid trip to Singapore in September. “The Singapore trip will be an ideal method to team-build, and our distributor partners will be joined by 3Com’s SMB team,” added Jones. “As an added bonus, the distributor who over-achieves the highest percentage above his set target will be awarded an extra place for a staff member of his choosing, so it is not just a case of a product manager driving this incentive scheme by himself. We want every team at every distributor involved and working together to attain as much as they can.”
