I, Robot hits the channel

To celebrate the launch of Hollywood’s latest blockbuster US Robotics and its distributors come up with a raft of reseller promotions and prizes aplenty for channel partners.

US Robotics is celebrating next week’s release of this summer’s blockbuster, I, Robot, by offering second-tier partners the chance enjoy some glamour and glitz with exclusive screenings of the film and holidays for top resellers. The vendor has teamed up with its principal distributors in the region, Tech Data and Aptec, to offer separate promotions to channel partners. “I, Robot is an action-packed film with awesome special effects. Will Smith stars as detective Del Spooner in the high-tech thriller, I, Robot, suggested by the book of short stories by visionary author Isaac Asimov, which also served as the inspiration for our company name,” said Faye Williams, EMEA marketing manager at US Robotics. “We are going to celebrate the launch of the film by offering customers and channel partners some fantastic competition prizes.” Tech Data will provide its US Robotics resellers with specific sales targets to qualify for the promotion. The top eight resellers who reach those sales targets will be included in the end-user USR I, Robot promotion broadcast on UAE’s Radio 104.8 FM, where participants will battle it out on the air to win a return ticket for two to Euro Disney in Paris. Each of Tech Data’s top eight resellers will also be provided with co-branded US Robotics I, Robot promotion marketing materials. The retailers will also be gifted with cinema tickets for the exclusive screening of the I, Robot movie to incentivise their own staff and entertain customers. In its own promotion to tie in with the movie Aptec will gift its top US Robotics resellers with travel vouchers of up to AED 3500. The promotion will be valid for orders placed and invoiced from the 1st of July to the 30th of August, and is open to resellers based in the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Yemen.
