Etihad Airways is to start services to London Gatwick from the 1st September, the airline says it has brought forward the launch date in response to customer demand. When the service starts, Etihad will fly to Gatwick three times a week. However, this will be upped to seven times a week from the end of October. The route will be flown using an Airbus A330-200, and it will go into the North Terminal at Gatwick. The fast growing Abu Dhabi-based carrier has also announced the start of a four-times-a-week service to Bahrain, which will be quickly raised to a daily service. Mumbai is also set to be added to the timetable from 1st September.
