CDT, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cable Design Technologies Corporation, has merged with Belden, in an all-stock merger of equals. Immediately prior to the merger the CDT name was changed to Belden CDT. Belden CDT is one of the largest US based manufacturers of high-speed electronic cables and focuses on products for the specialty electronics and data networking markets. “We are extremely pleased to announce shareholder approval of this historic merger and look forward to moving ahead as a pre-eminent provider of electronic cables and connectivity products,” says Bryan Cressey, chairman, Belden CDT. The company now also includes products under the NORDX/CDT brand.
