Networking vendor 3Com has boosted its Middle East channel with the appointment of Mindware as a regional distribution partner. With networking skills gleaned from its previous experience as a Cisco distributor, Mindware is in a strong position to help build the market for 3Com’s range of LAN, WAN, voice, security and wireless solutions, as well as supporting 3Com’s reseller community in the Middle East. “We want to continue to build our presence in the market, while providing consistently high levels of service and networking expertise to our partners and customers. Mindware has demonstrated that they have strong local business knowledge as well as a proven track record in distributing leading-edge technology products to businesses in the region,” said Wael Fakharany, general manager at 3Com Middle East. Both companies anticipate solid growth for the networking market during the next year with demand from specific market segments including the hospitality vertical as well as residential and commercial development sectors. “Our relationship with 3Com is a strong strategic opportunity for Mindware, as it marks a natural evolution in the product portfolio that we can offer the market,” said Jacques Chammas, managing director at Mindware. “The network technology market is growing at a rapid pace within the region, and Mindware is now positioned to enable the reseller community to meet this rising demand.” Mindware will provide pre-sales support, technical advice and service for 3Com resellers across the Middle East. The two companies plan to work together on education programmes to build awareness of networking issues among resellers in the region.
