Pinnacle reports 400% growth in Liquid sales

Pinnacle Systems announced a 400% increase in the first quarter sales of its Liquid editing family compared with the same quarter in 2003.

Pinnacle Systems announced a 400% increase in the first quarter sales of its Liquid editing family compared with the same quarter in 2003. The result follows the digital media solutions provider's doubled sales across all product lines in 2003 and supports its plans to double the figure again in 2004. “Demand for Pinnacle's live production and graphics solutions means every broadcaster in the region currently owns at least one Pinnacle product,” says Said Bacho, managing director for Pinnacle Middle East. “The Pinnacle Liquid family of non-linear editing solutions adds further major components to the live production offering and is instrumental in maintaining the company's market lead for the third consecutive year,” he added. Pinnacle's ambitious growth plans also include the release of new products such as Vortex news production to the Middle East broadcast market. In addition, the company completed its largest Middle East implementation of its MediaStream content delivery solution last year at Rotana TV in Beirut and Cairo. As part of its drive to spearhead new product line sales, Pinnacle's Middle East department also plans to swell its sales and engineering teams. Jamal Khalili’s appointment in August 2003 as support engineer was part of this strategy. Commenting on the company’s success in the region, Bacho added: "The presence of our office in the Middle East has helped us understand our customers more thoroughly than remote-based organisations and this has enabled us to deliver world-class solutions tailored to local needs."
