Value-added distributor ADAOX will arrive at GITEX with 5,000 licenses for NOD32 anti-virus software from ESET tucked under its arm and plans to give them all away to visitors. ADAOX hopes that the giveaway tactic will help drum up demand for the product and boost selling opportunities for channel partners that sign up to resell NOD32 in the Middle East. “We are going to be present at GITEX 2004 for the first time with NOD32 and our aim is to recruit NOD32 partners to market this great product in this region and the best place to do this is at GITEX given the show’s popularity, its focus and its appeal to the technology markets around the region and beyond,” said Neo Neophytou, director at ADAOX. “The Middle East market is one in which ADAOX has always had strong links and given its potential and the pro-activity of the channel partners in the region this is a prime market for this anti-virus system, one in which there has been too little choice for customers for too long,” added Neophytou. ADAOX operates as a value-added distributor pushing security products and solutions through the IT channels of the Middle East, Africa and Balkans. NOD32 has been developed by ESET USA — a privately held software vendor with offices in the UK, USA, Czech Republic and Slovakia. NOD32 has picked up a handful of awards for the quality of its anti-virus software.
