Solutions Middle East (SME) has partnered with the US-based Applied Voice & Speech Technologies (AVST), a unified communications vendor. The Dubai company will distribute AVST’s products and solutions in the Middle East.

Solutions Middle East (SME) has partnered with US vendor Applied Voice & Speech Technologies (AVST), which offers unified communications to enterprises. The Dubai based company will be the distributor in the Middle East for AVST’s products and solutions. SME believes AVST’s flagship product, CallXpress, which combines voice, fax and e-mail messages in one inbox and makes them accessible via telephone, wireless device or computer, anywhere in the world. Employees don’t have to be in the office or logged onto a computer to access their e-mail — they can receive and respond to messages anywhere, anytime. That means customers aren’t left waiting, mobile workers are accessible, and urgent messages are available right away. CallXpress, with its speech applications platform, Seneca will allow regional companies to access their communications infrastructure including voice mail, e-mail, and fax messages from any voice or data device – desktop, laptop, PDA, wired phone or cell phone - either via a touch tone or speech interface. The vendors claim CallXpress increases productivity even internally says AVST's local distributor. The ability of employees to be located as well as check messages anywhere, anytime increases productivity and enables customers to make critical real-time contact with company’s employees according to the vendor. “The fact that Solutions middle east has been growing rapidly over the last few years in the region, is testimony not only to the quality of products and solutions but also of the choice of products and principals that we represent. AVST’s software solutions free users from the constraints of time, place, medium and device. Mobile workers no longer need to access the internet to check email when all they have to do with AVST’s solutions is use their mobile phone to have all their content delivered says SME. Employees spend less time managing messages and more time acting on them. Plus, simplified system administration and lower telephone charges reduce costs for your company. CallXpress is extended by the Seneca speech-enabled call management module, which lets you use voice-activated commands to manage phone calls, e-mail and fax messages. Using the simple instructions such as 'get e-mail, get voice mail, reply to e-mail. Users are freed from the burden of having to be 'plugged-in' thereby allowing them to be more productive, and respond more quickly to customers and other employees. Companies can also respond to customers and co-workers from any location, with or without internet access. Employees will also have the means to quickly manage and prioritise the flurry of messages they receive each day in the form of voice mail, faxes and e-mail.
