DOHMS takes stock of assets

Datastream Systems has announced that the Dubai Department of Health and Medical Services (DOHMS) is deploying the Datastream 7i(TM) asset performance management solution across several locations to reduce operating costs and improve equipment availability. Datastream’s flagship product, Datastream 7i(TM), delivers asset performance management infrastructure by combining an internet, web services architecture with enterprise asset management functionality, integrated procurement, advanced analytics and multi-site capability. DOHMS, which is operated by the government of Dubai and provides health-related services to more than one million people. DOHMS currently maintains and manages more than 25,000 pieces of hospital equipment in multiple locations. The organisation is currently using Datastream 7i to manage these assets, comply with regulatory standards, schedule and execute preventive and corrective maintenance and optimise its inventory of clinical equipment. “We have thousands upon thousands of assets that we rely on to serve our patients. We evaluated several products, and Datastream 7i met our stringent requirements. It has superior management and auditing capabilities that will allow us to manage our assets while meeting our regulatory requirements,” says Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, director general of DOHMS.
