Wade Adams picks up two Nakheel infrastructure jobs

Contract also calls for landscaping work at the Jumeirah Lake Towers and DMCC

Nakheel announced the appointment of Wade Adams Contracting LLC to carry out the infrastructure and landscaping works at Jumeirah Lake Towers and the Dubai Metals & Commodities Centre (DMCC) industrial area. Dubai’s leading property development company that is giving shape to several of the emirate’s iconic projects has signed up Wade Adams Contracting for the construction of infrastructure works, including grading works, retaining structures, road paving, potable water supply, sanitary systems, drainage system, lake landscaping and fire and irrigation works. The works will be completed in 18 months, according to the contract that was signed by Sultan bin Sulayem, chairman of Nakheel and Hisham Taha, general manager of Wade Adams Contracting. “Jumeirah Lake Towers is expected to be a monumental landmark in Dubai. A project of this magnitude requires the expertise of global players with proven credentials. It is an unparalleled project, dominated by a lake that extends to over one million square meters,” said bin Sulayem. “With such a mandate, it is critical that the infrastructure and landscaping is created along global standards. “In keeping with Nakheel’s stringent selection procedures, we assessed the credentials of several contractors with global expertise,” added bin Sulayem. “We are pleased to assign the job to Wade Adams because of the proven expertise in handling key projects all over the world,” he said. The sprawling Jumeirah Lake Towers development covers an area of 1 144 579 m2. It consists of 23 clusters of high-rise buildings, with each cluster featuring three towers of 35, 40 and 45 storeys, amidst picturesque man-made lakes and lush landscaping. The development is located on the eastern side of Sheikh Zayed Road, between Interchange No. 5 and 6, and adjacent to another signature development, Jumeirah Islands. “Nakheel is racing ahead with its execution of different projects as one of the leading players in Dubai’s vibrant property sector. There has been an overwhelming response from local, regional and global investors to our projects. We have appointed globally renowned companies to manage specific areas of our projects after an extensive research and vetting process. We have done so to ensure that the highest standards are maintained, as part of our goal of delivering satisfaction to our discerning clients. Some of the companies have already begun their work at the Towers,” said bin Sulayem. Wade Adams Contracting has been involved in several infrastructure jobs as part of major Dubai projects, including the Dubai Technology e-Commerce & Media Free Zone and DIC. Nakheel’s portfolio currently includes The Palm, The World, Jumeirah Islands, The Gardens, The Gardens Shopping Mall, Jumeirah Lake Towers and International City.
