Estarta Solutions has provided Microsoft’s Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution to GSM operator, Mobilecom, in Jordan. The provider hopes to use the solution to facilitate collaborative work and to employ resources more efficiently. “The roll out… will enable us to have an on-demand Projects Dashboard that will enable monitoring at enterprise as well as individual project level,” says Ahmed Salah, Mobilecom chief quality assurance & processes officer. “EPM will also facilitate collaborative working as well as more efficient use of our resources. This is in line with our process improvement and re-engineering methodology,” he adds. The deployment comes as the result of a joint initiative between MobileCom, Estarta and Microsoft. EPM is designed to improve business profitability and enhance customer service by increasing the efficiency of project teams working together across an organisation, while enabling them to make informed decisions and adapt quickly to changing business conditions. Management reporting features provide greater visibility into staff’s skills and availability, real-time status of tasks and resources, which enhances decision-making and enables the organisation to dynamically assign resources more efficiently. Senior executives are able to track histories as well as progress of projects across the organisation using various reports, customised for their needs. The solution is also designed to support project portfolio and process managements, and to provide greater project team collaboration and project coordination.
