Set over 800 hectares of land, International City offers residential buildings, clusters and neighbourhoods for sale. “Situated in Al Warsan area, the City underlines our commitment to enhance Dubai’s image as the premier investment destination in the region. The work on the 27 buildings is progressing smoothly, and we intend to complete the project within the next 18 months,” said Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Nakheel chairman of Nakheel at the signing with Al Shafar. “The International City has broken all previous benchmarks in construction of specialised properties. Al Shafar is honoured to partake in this pioneering exercise,” said Nash’at Wassif of Al Shafar after the award of the contract. Meanwhile, under the Jumeirah Islands pact, Ali Moosa and Sons will build and maintain 128 European themed villas at Jumeirah Islands. The contract is valid for eight months after which the villas will be handed over to Nakheel. “We are honoured to be awarded this contract,” said Fahad Ali Moosa of Ali Moosa and Sons Contracting. “We look forward to working with the region’s leading and most innovative property developers and to contribute to the continued development of the property market in Dubai.” Jumeirah Islands project is designed on 300-hectares.
