Toner cartridge vendor German Imaging Technology (GIT) has embarked on a channel recruitment drive and struck an alliance allowing Dubai-based Computer Depot to start distributing and reselling its products from its Khalid Al Bin Waleed Road retail outlet. “Up to now we have sold only directly with the support of our outdoor sales staff,” said Dr. Sassan Dieter Khatib-Shahidi, managing director at GIT. “We believe the time has come to develop partnerships with distributors and resellers. We are targeting companies, which share our philosophy and values for serving the customers to the best, owning a good reputation and employing skilled staff, to name just a few. We are happy about our alliance with Computer Depot, one of the largest retail outlets in Dubai and also serving the small and medium business (SMB) houses. We are very confident about both enterprises benefiting from each other in a satisfying way and being able to increase business opportunities significantly.” GIT has been in the market since 1999 offering gt-branded cartridges for printers, copiers as well as fax machines. The company has the capacity to produce 20,000 toner cartridges a month and already supplies some 1,200 corporate customers with its products exported to 16 countries including the GCC, Africa and Germany. “Our most important goal is to keep our customers satisfied,” said Computer Depot director, Gaurav Brahmwar. “We do our best to realise this principle not only with the help of our well trained staff, which is able to serve our customers with the required products according to their needs. We want to make sure that we are offering products with high quality. These claims are fundamental ground to the main selection criteria of suppliers such as GIT, with whom we started a business relationship lately.” As well as serving its customer base of retailers, SMB customers, local authorities and corporations, Computer Depot also offers GIT potential for building export business into central Asia and parts of East and West Africa. GIT plans to recruit more channel partners to boost its routes-to-market still further.
