Conrad Hotels, Hilton’s luxury hospitality brand, is to manage a 350 room property on Sheikh Zayed Road close to downtown Dubai. Conrad will operate the hotel, its first in the UAE, on behalf of its owner, the Abu Dhabi-based real estate company Private Property Management. The opening is scheduled for 2007. “This will be an extraordinary property and it will fit our plans to expand the Conrad brand further into the Middle East,” says Jacobus Klein, board director of Conrad Hotels and president of Hilton International. “We are honoured to work with Private Property Management and to have secured one of the most prestigious and visible locations in Dubai.” The Conrad Dubai will have 220 guest rooms, plus 130 suites and serviced apartments. The hotel will also include 12 meeting rooms and a ballroom that can accommodate 1,100 people. Conrad is reported to have been closely involved in the development of the hotel to ensure that it will meet the brand’s values and standards.
