Building on its appointment as a Cisco Distribution Partner (CDP) earlier this year, Logicom has unveiled a reseller reward programme to ramp up the number of Middle East resellers buying kit from the newest Cisco distributor on the block. “We have just launched the Logicom Rewards Programme,” explains Omiros Pissarides, general manager at Logicom Dubai. “This programme splits resellers buying Cisco product from us into two categories: Elite and Premier. Elite partners will receive a target every month and will receive a rebate if they achieve it. Premier partners will not receive targets but performance-based rewards offering financial savings will be available. Logicom has developed this programme to increase our channel breadth and establish our value-add offerings in the minds of resellers.” Logicom is positioning itself as a value-add distributor for Cisco products in the region and is looking to back up this reputation with in-country stocking points, reseller training, technical support and excellent pre and post-sales services. The company is currently putting the finishing touches to plans to open a Saudi Arabia warehouse. Logicom has made a solid start as a CDP and holds some US$2m of Cisco stock in the region. So far more than 25 resellers have purchased Cisco kit from Logicom with many of these already repeat customers. At its recent Technology Forum held in late May in Dubai, Logicom pulled in close to 60 resellers from across the UAE alone for its Cisco training seminar.
