Veritas Software Middle East is hosting a roadshow in five cities across the region, where company experts will train resellers in the deployment and use of two key Veritas solutions. The event — held in Beirut, Dubai, Riyadh, Cairo and Morocco from June 1 to 10 — is open to resellers working with Veritas channel partners. Delegates will receive sales and technical training for Veritas Backup Exec (which provides backup and recovery support for Netware and Windows servers) and Veritas StorageCentral™ (a Storage Resource Management solution for controlling file and application disk usage in Windows). “These two solutions work to protect information and maximise storage resources,” said Katie Spurgeon, regional channel manager for Veritas, Middle East. Backup Exec version 9.1, available in Windows and NetWare editions, provides automated protection of critical data on workstations and servers, while StorageCentral™ automatically controls Windows storage allocation, blocking inappropriate file types and recovering wasted disk space. “Veritas is training resellers across the region to ensure that our customers derive maximum benefit from these applications,” she adds. The Veritas sales and technical roadshow will visit Beirut’s Metropolitan Hotel 1 June, the Dubai Knowledge Village on 2 June, the Riyadh Intercontinental Hotel on 6 June, Cairo’s Conrad Hotel on 8 June and the Casablanca Sheraton on 10 June. Each seminar will be split into two sessions — sales and technical – to run simultaneously for three hours from 9.00 am.
