Computer Associates has released the latest version of its virus management product, eTrust Antivirus, in the region. eTrust Antivirus 7.1 is designed to help business ranging from small firms with a handful of users to large corporates to manage their antivirus strategies, rather than just being a simple scanning solution. The company claims it can be implemented at all potential points of vulnerability, allowing security administrators to protect the enterprise from new and mutating threats. “No customer has unlimited resources to throw at virus protection, despite the importance of protecting the enterprise against the torrent of threats it receives,” said Brad Meehan, director of eTrust security management at CA. “With eTrust Antivirus, CA has delivered the industry’s most effective solution for managing virus protection across the enterprise.” Features in eTrust Antivirus 7.1 include daily digitally signed signature updates and 24 x 7 technical support for a year at no additional charge. In the Middle East, the product is available from CA’s channel partners. The company claims to have a large range of customers in the region, from small and medium (SMB) customers, to major names in the oil & gas, banking, education and government sectors.
