Mitel Networks will be showcasing its entire portfolio of solutions and services at this year’s Gitex. On display will be Mitel’s extensive range of voice-over-IP telephony platforms, IP desktops devices including wireless handsets, audio conference units and video collaborations solution. The latest addition to Mitel’s IP telephony line of products is the 3300 Integrated Communications Platform (ICP), and the company’s staff will be present in hall six to advise customers, partners and businesses about it. The platform is considered to be the ultimate in feature-rich, reliable and scalable voice-over-IP communications for the enterprise sector . Products are not the only thing Mitel is paying attention to at this year’s Gitex; it will also talk about its recent partnership with Etisalat. Under the contract, which was secured in March, Mitel will be one of the VoIP equipment suppliers for Etisalat. “This year’s Gitex will present us with great opportunities for our senior management to engage with customers, channel partners and competitors,” says Hisham Amili, Dubai-based sales and marketing director for Mitel. “The event will also help us identify additional vertical specialised channels for the buoyant hospitality market.” Furthermore, Mitel will use this exhibition to endorse its partnership with the government and explore emerging IP markets in Iran, Iraq and Pakistan. These war-torn nations have started rebuilding their IT infrastructure, and Mitel plans to be part of that process. “At Gitex we will able to show our support for IT channels and possible partners addressing Iraq for the first time,” says Amili. Mitel targets small to medium sized businesses (SMBs) as well as the enterprise. It serves these segments of the market through a distribution network. Finally, Mitel wants to strengthen its branding in UAE and the Middle East and plans to kick start that process at this year’s Gitex.
