Telecom Italia Sparkle is telling visitors at ITU Africa today about the wide range of products and services it offers and explaining just how its solution set can help the region’s operators embrace advanced telecommunications technology to its advantage. The company, which is 100% owned by the Telecom Italia Group, is also focusing on its technological developments at the show and espousing its speed and quality of service. Telecom Italia Sparkle is also referencing its growing client base, which includes ISPs and fixed and mobile operators around the world. “We see ITU Africa opportunity to present our complete and integrated service portfolio,” says Stefano Mazzitelli, chief executive officer of Telecom Italia Sparkle. “As such, we are presenting our proprietary networks, our state-of-the-art technology, and our global presence through subsidiaries, offices and points of presence around the world,” he adds. As Telecom Italia Sparkle was established only 16 months ago, when Telecom Italia decided to spin off its international wholesale services department, ITU Africa is doubly important for the firm as it should help it gain a foothold in the region. “We know that we will be able to establish excellent new contacts with carriers, government representatives, industry analysts and journalists, while consolidating our relationships with our current customers and partners,” says Mazzitelli. “Moreover, it will be a showcase to strengthen our image in an important marketplace,” he adds.
