RayaTech, the call center solutions provider has announced the successful integration of its Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and Voice Announcer solution with Sakhr’s Arabic Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology. RayaTech and Sakhr’s integrated solutions will enhance customers’ access to data and information, by allowing a dynamic conversion of Arabic computer readable text into human sounding speech. “We are very pleased that leading voice technology providers like RayaTech are using Sakhr’s advanced Arabic speech technologies, such as Arabic TTS and Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), as part of their product offering,” says Abdulaziz Al Garabaly - sales and marketing director of Sakhr Software. The 22-year old Kuwaiti Sakhr Software develops software for the Arabic market; through it’s Arabic Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology. Sakhr was also behind the successful introduction of the world’s first Arabic to English, English to Arabic, online machine translation engine which is licensed to the Ajeeb.com. RayaTech technical teams worked very closely with the Sakhr technical support team to ensure that iConnect.IVR and Voice Announcer interfaces and capability accommodate the advanced functions of Arabic text to speech which Sakhr offers. The integrated solution is currently being deployed for a large healthcare organisation in the UAE says the vendor. “This is a significant achievement for RayaTech. The unique selling proposition of RayaTech’s solutions is the powerful Arabic support we have built into all our products. Working hand in hands with Sakhr, we are able to extend the value that our solutions offer to more public and private entities throughout the Middle East,” says Mohammad Khatib, managing director of RayaTech. Typically, enterprise customer information that is stored in textual formats with dynamically changing values has been accessible only through viewed format, and access is restricted for connected online screen and report services. With the integration of TTS into RayaTech telephony and voice announcement systems, RayaTech solutions would enable customers to access over the phone such dynamic textual data as voice and audio announcements, with complete comprehension of the details outlined in textual format. RayaTech has already integrated TTS technologies for English utilising other TTS solutions. But for Arabic, the solutions were lacking in text to voice conversion quality. Sakhr’s software includes the ability to process text with and/or without Tashkeel or diacritic marks. Thus, any text, in Arabic or English, can be accessed as human sounding voice over the telephone or other audio systems. All IVR and voice applications including telecommunications, phone banking, public services enquiries, transportation, and others will benefit from the flexibility to pronounce textual Arabic data properly into voice claim the vendors. This data can be stored in a wide range of databases, and will be converted and played as voice to the calling customer over the phone or public address systems.
