The US$34 million Saba, a provider of HR related solutions, is now eyeing the Middle East market with its Human Capital Development & Management (HCDM) solutions. The vendor has partnered with Mina Solutions, to distribute Saba’s Human Capital Development & Management (HCDM) solutions in the region. Saba hopes to convince regional enterprises to use its HCDM software for evaluating the talent in a company – evaluating where a company wants to go – seeing if the in-house talent is sufficient – and then providing training and hiring so the in-house talent can achieve corporate objectives. According to Saba, ERP, CRM and Human Resource Management Solutions (HRMS) have only helped organisations, gather data about physical assets, but not really improved their ability to execute on intangible assets such as human capital and employee talent. The vendor claims its HCDM solutions, identify employee needs and then develops and manages those people via internet based learning, performance, content and resource management systems, more efficiently than traditional HRMS solutions. “The Middle Eastern workforce is changing as rapidly as the market is growing. HCDM can provide consistent Learning & Competency Management Systems to ensure the creation of a company culture consistently, quickly and efficiently,” says Babak Yazdani, founder, chairman & CEO of Saba. Globally, more than 260 companies across 24 countries have signed up for its HDCM suite in the past seven years of operations. In the region, the vendor hopes to penetrate the market with some help from its local partner, the UAE-based Mina Solutions. The two companies expect to commence operations later this month in Dubai.
