Turkish cabling vendor HCS and its regional channel development partner, Heritage Technology, hope to certify up to 50 engineers on the product range at a one-day training session to be held in Dubai. The training session is part of Heritage and HCS’ push to develop a regional route-to-market made up of in-country distribution partners and cabling installers and integrators. “There has already been significant interest in HCS’ products in the region,” says Rajiv Desai, sales director at Heritage Technology. “We are running a training day where we will aim to certify up to 50 people from cabling installers and integrators. They will be trained on technical skills as well as sales and marketing and take an examination to obtain official certification.” Aizaz Karjikar, managing director at Heritage Technology, adds: “Heritage is the regional representative and we will look to appoint at least one in-country distribution partner per market. From the installer perspective, we will recruit as many as possible and hope to have up to 300 engineers trained on HCS’ products across the region.” “HCS is a mid tier vendor that offers high quality products at competitive prices,” adds Karjikar. “It is not trying to compete with low-cost Asian vendors on price. We plan to explain to potential partners how best to sell the product. We are also preparing some significant case studies that will highlight the strength of HCS’ offering in the market.” Ufuk Yilmaz, assistant general manager at HCS, says: “We will build HCS’ reputation in the Middle East. The company is part of a much larger Turkish group and this gives us stability. There are already major integrators using HCS cabling on high-profile projects.” With a unique warranty package for HCS cabling installed by certified engineers, there are strong reasons for installers to apply for official certification. If HCS can produce high-profile case studies, it will further enhance the vendor’s reputation in the Middle East market.
