Arabian Business to honour IT pioneers

Arabian Business magazine's 2004 Saudi eBusiness Awards will recognise key players in the country’s technology sector.

ITP, publisher of Arabian Business magazine, will honour the key players in Saudi Arabia’s IT and telecomms sectors at its fourth Saudi eBusiness Awards to be held at the Intercontinental Riyadh. The event, which is scheduled to run on the evening of April 20, will bring together companies and individuals that are leading the development of the knowledge economy in the Kingdom. “ITP’s Saudi eBusiness Awards ceremony brings together the cream of the IT and business communities at this prestigious annual event, demonstrating its unrivalled reach and influence,” said Walid Akawi, ITP’s publishing director. A number of awards wil recognise the companies that have invested heavily to make the Internet more affordable and accessible for the people of Saudi Arabia. Systems integrators and software developers will be honoured for their efforts to bring world class IT solutions and services to organisations in the Kingdom. Major corporations will be lauded for their efforts to deliver state of the art, electronic services to their customers and for their progress in re-engineering their internal processes. Top IT managers that have overseen the successful transformation of their companies’ business processes will also be recognised with awards. The awards will be the highlight of Gitex Saudi Arabia, which has established itself as the top IT event in the country. ITP will once again be producing the official free daily newspaper of the show. With dedicated English (day 1) and Arabic (days 1, 3 and 5) editions, it will feature breaking news from the show and daily product news.
