3Com’s dedicated small and medium business (SMB) division has made solid progress since launching in March. A reseller promotion offering tickets to the Bahrain Grand Prix helped 3Com generate partners’ enthusiasm. Dubai-based reseller Blue Bell Computers, a 3Com Gold Partner, picked up the prize. “I am thrilled that Blue Bell Computers has achieved ‘pole position’ in the 3Com initiative,” said Tarun Nandi, owner and manager of Blue Bell Computers. “This reflects our success in delivering leading-edge technology to small- and medium-businesses and I am confident that we will continue to find great success through our cooperation with 3Com.” “It is important to have a focused approach to the sales channel, which is why we have established a dedicated SMB division to exist alongside our successful enterprise operations,” commented Wael Fakharany, regional manager, 3Com Middle East. “We congratulate Blue Bell on their success over the past month, and wish Mr Nandi well on his trip to the Bahrain Grand Prix. We would also like to extend our thanks to all our SMB resellers, who have helped us achieve so much in recent months and who are realizing great success through their work with 3Com,” concluded Fakharany. With a choice of networking vendors pushing kit into the SMB space, channel incentive schemes play a vital role in making products stand out. In many cases, such schemes can be the main influencing factor for resellers when picking a vendor to work with.
