Emirates Airline has boosted its frequencies to Manila and Osaka. The carrier will now fly 10 times a week to the Philippines capital and daily to Osaka’s Kansai International Airport. On the Manila route, Emirates is to run additional services on Wednesday and Fridays from 29th March using an Airbus A330-200, which can sit 285 passengers. The same aircraft is already used on Mondays and Sundays, in addition to the Boeing 777-200 that makes the trip every day except for Mondays. From today (28 March), Emirates will also fly a daily service between Dubai and Osaka, up from what was a four-times-a-week service. The carrier will operate both an A340-500 and A340-300 in three-class configuration on this route. Respectively, these aircraft can carry 258 and 267 passengers. “Asia Pacific is an important region for Emirates. We are increasing capacity on several routes to meet strong demand for our services in the region,” says Richard Vaughan, Emirates’ senior vice president commercial operations, East Asia & Australasia.
