Inmarsat is building awareness for both its broadband global area network (BGAN) and global area network (GAN) at this week’s Saudi Gitex.

Inmarsat is building awareness for both its broadband global area network (BGAN) and global area network (GAN) at this week’s Gitex. At the same time, the mobile satellite communications operator is looking to recruit a number of partners that can work alongside it to service the growing number of businesses keen to utilise its mobile, high speed networks. “[In 2004] we aim to capitalise on our growing recognition and continue to promote satellite communications as a key business strategy for organisations in the Kingdom,” says Samer Halawi, regional director for Inmarsat Middle East & Africa. “A core objective [for the show] is lead generation, to grow sales and strengthen our channel network in the region. We will [also] be actively using the show to recruit new partners,” he adds.
